BBA for international business experts

The bachelor’s degree programme in International Business combines theory and practice, and you will develop into an international business professional with strong business management skills, communication skills and the ability to work in multicultural environments. 

We believe in innovative ways to develop the surrounding business world. Based on this, we have created the International Business programme in close cooperation with businesses and other partners. 

Our goal is to ensure that you will be well prepared to work in different international business settings and roles around the world and the content of the studies is continuously updated together with potential employers to meet the skill requirements for future professionals. 

Study at Lahti Campus or Lappeenranta Campus

You can apply for studies either in Lahti or in Lappeenranta campus. Studies in Lahti campus emphasises sustainable business strategies and responsible global trade, while studies in Lappeenranta campus focuses on driving innovation and bringing new business ideas to market. 

Qualification

Bachelor of Business Administration

The earned qualification is an undergraduate degree (a bachelor’s degree). After earning the degree, you can apply for work in private sector businesses as well as public sector organisations that require an applicable university degree.

Tuition fee

No tuition fees for EU/EEA students. EUR 11,000/academic year for students from outside the EU/EEA.

What do the International Business studies include?

You can apply for studies either in Lahti or in Lappeenranta campus. Studies in Lahti campus emphasises sustainable business strategies and responsible global trade, while studies in Lappeenranta campus focuses on driving innovation and bringing new business ideas to market. 

The studies are carried out entirely in English in an international environment, and they include an exchange period or work placement abroad. 

During the first year, you will develop a solid foundation in core business disciplines. You will gain essential knowledge every Bachelor of Business Administration graduate needs to learn, including international business principles, international marketing, supply chain networks, financial management, etc. 

From the second year onwards, you have the opportunity to start personalising your study path by doing complementary competence studies.

We offer you a choice of modules in international business, marketing, financial management, logistics, entrepreneurship, digital business and information technology. We also offer modules combining expertise from various different fields. You can also complete part of your studies in multidisciplinary development projects and learning environments.

At the beginning of your studies, you will become familiar with the principles of natural and physical sciences, environmental technology, circular economy, and sustainable development, as well as their interaction with climate change and biological and technological cycles. These form the foundation for deepening your competence during your further studies.

The professional studies include topics such as resource and material efficiency, digital tools, quality and project management, built environment, product design, and responsible business from the perspective of sustainable solutions and the circular economy.

A flexible curriculum enables versatile learning methods

We encourage you to complete your studies using various learning methods, as our curriculum structure is flexible.
