BBA for international business experts
The bachelor’s degree programme in International Business combines theory and practice, and you will develop into an international business professional with strong business management skills, communication skills and the ability to work in multicultural environments.
We believe in innovative ways to develop the surrounding business world. Based on this, we have created the International Business programme in close cooperation with businesses and other partners.
Our goal is to ensure that you will be well prepared to work in different international business settings and roles around the world and the content of the studies is continuously updated together with potential employers to meet the skill requirements for future professionals.
Study at Lahti Campus or Lappeenranta Campus
You can apply for studies either in Lahti or in Lappeenranta campus. You can apply to the Lahti programme during both rolling admission periods, in the summer and in the winter. The Lappeenranta programme, however, is available only during the winter rolling admission period.
Studies at the Lahti campus, follow semester‑specific themes that integrate core business competences with real company projects and close collaboration with working life. Learning is based on problem-based learning, where students develop professionally by working both individually and in teams on real‑world business challenges.
Studies at the Lappeenranta campus focuses on driving innovation and bringing new business ideas to market.
Qualification
Bachelor of Business Administration
The earned qualification is an undergraduate degree (a bachelor’s degree). After earning the degree, you can apply for work in private sector businesses as well as public sector organisations that require an applicable university degree.
Tuition fee
No tuition fees for EU/EEA students. EUR 11,000/academic year for students from outside the EU/EEA.

What do the International Business studies include?
The International Business degree programme at LAB University of Applied Sciences is designed for students who want to build business expertise with purpose. Students learn to create value that is economically viable, sustainable, and meaningful in a global context.
You can apply for studies either in Lahti or in Lappeenranta campus. The studies are carried out entirely in English in an international environment, and they include an exchange period or work placement abroad.
We offer you a choice of modules in international business, marketing, financial management, logistics, entrepreneurship, digital business and information technology. We also offer modules combining expertise from various different fields. You can also complete part of your studies in multidisciplinary development projects and learning environments.

Lahti campus
Studies at the Lahti campus follow semester-specific themes that connect business theory to real situations. From the first semester onwards, your learning journey progresses from building a foundation in business operations and testing your knowledge in a real-life business project.
Your second year lays a solid entrepreneurship foundation and gives tools to turn ideas into sustainable business.
Your third year will deepen your understanding in international business related complementary competences, where your study though real-life business challenges, exchange studies, culminating in a thesis that demonstrates your expertise in practice.
Lappeenranta campus
Studies in Lappeenranta campus focuses on driving innovation and bringing new business ideas to market.
During the first year, you will develop a solid foundation for different areas of business knowhow. You will learn what every Bachelor of Business Administration needs to learn, i.e. the basics of international business, international marketing, supply chain networks, financial management etc.
From the second year onwards, you have the opportunity to start personalizing your study path by carrying out complementary competence studies and deepening your expertise.

Do I have to pay tuition fees?

How to apply: Rolling Admission
In LAB Rolling Admission, applicants are selected to English-taught bachelor's programmes that begin in August 2026. The application period is 1 November 2025–30th of April 2026.
