Resilience, Green Transition And Digitalization of SMEs.

The goal of the green transition is to support the restructuring of the economy and the construction of a carbon-neutral society. Reducing greenhouse gases and getting to carbon-neutral operations is a complex systemic change that now requires new innovations, as well as the introduction of new practices and shared knowledge about new technologies between Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences and SMEs.

Renewal and making the change, however, is challenging by using old ways of working and technologies. Sustainable systemic change requires new technologies, new innovations, new operating and co-operation models. This will only be achieved by intensifying co-operation and increasing the level of shared knowledge and concrete co-development actions in the field on RDI+L (research, development and innovation + co-learning) between universities of applied sciences, SMEs and also other stakeholders operating in the field.

This unique project combines the best expertise of Finnish universities of applied sciences (Southern Finland, altogether 9 universities of applied sciences in this project and on national level 21 universities of applied sciences involved) with companies and entrepreneurs in the regions in order to support their way with change towards carbon neutrality, resilience and digitality by generating knowhow with changemaking new technologies and new ways of working together.

Events, micro-courses 24/7, peer-to-peer learning and learning-projects organized by universities and based on the needs of companies in their transfer towards carbon neutrality, raise the level of competence and knowledge of all stakeholders to make the true change. Various events, new learning methods, training and advisory services provide keys for successful change on national level in this project.

Co-operation becomes concrete as new co-operating models which then contribute to growth and improve employment, as well as promote the competitiveness and resilience of companies and regions. The learning units, services and events offered during the project also improve the competence of company management in the responsible management of crisis situations such as with Covid and energy crisis.
