PALMA- Developing New Business in Rural Areas through Service Design

PALMA- Developing New Business in Rural Areas through Service Design
The aim of the project PALMA is to help rural entrepreneurs to comprehend the role of service design and the importance of understanding consumer behaviour in service development. This understanding will help improve service quality in companies, which provide tourism, catering and wellness services in Häme region.

The starting point is to recognize the needs and expectations of different types of customers along the entire service pathway.

The mode of operation is interaction and sharing good practices between the more experienced reference companies and the developing companies. Sharing information and communicating are in an important role in the project.

Project is funded by European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

Project partners are Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Lead partner) and Pro Agria Southern Finland.

The project PALMA - Service Design Developing New Business in Rural Areas is carried out 1.1.2018- 31.12.2019.
