LABeko2 - network, elaborate, internationalize, success

The project will combine the needs and development ideas of businesses and students and strengthen the region's entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. The internationalization of businesses and the skills of students will be strengthened through the European ecosystem that the project will create. The model will be built jointly by companies and students, thus improving communication about employment opportunities in the region. South Karelia will be identified not only as an interesting location for students but also for new companies.

The LABeko2 project consists of four work packages to develop and strengthen the growth and internationalization potential of the region's businesses in a target group-oriented way. The focus will be on start-up companies, whose needs will be met by the skills of international university students studying in the region. The project will also develop a European entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem to promote the internationalization potential of enterprises and the integration of international students in the region.

The main outcome of the project will be an international entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem and a network for the internationalization of enterprises through university students. The project will increase the number of encounters between international students and businesses in the region and, as a result, increase the region's retention of students. As a result of the project, students will advance their studies in line with the skills needs of the world of work and provide development services to businesses.
