Food Campus Finland - Verkostojen vahvistaminen

The aim to double Finland's food exports provides a good basis for the effective implementation of the Päijät-Häme smart specialisation "food and drink" cluster. The Food Campus Finland network project (FCF network) creates a national and regional knowledge and infrastructure base and supports opportunities for the development of food solutions, while strengthening Päijät-Häme's steps towards becoming an internationally competitive food industry competence centre.

The project is implemented by LAB University of Applied Sciences and Lahti Regional Development LADEC Oy in cooperation with key actors and stakeholders in the region.

The aims of the project are:

- To create a foundation for the Food Campus Finland cooperation network, which supports the doubling of national food exports and a significant increase in the added value of the food sector. The network is built on regional clusters and the companies, educational institutions and development organizations operating in them.

- To promote research, development and innovation activities in the food sector throughout the value chain by strengthening the RDI infrastructure, identifying companies' RDI needs and opportunities and supporting companies, especially in participating in international RDI and business development projects.

- To strengthen the Päijät-Häme food cluster and the international business conditions of its companies, and to promote the implementation of new investments in the region.
