Food Pilot Plant: R&D services for food products

At the Lahti campus, the Food Pilot Plant offers R&D services for food-sector companies to assist with product development and innovation, especially for drinks and cereal products. At pilot-scale, developing ideas towards industrial scale is flexible and efficient.

The Food Pilot Plant includes a pilot-scale test bakery and equipment for producing carbonated, plant-based drinks and alcohol. For instance, heat treatments, storage stability tests, and process-controlling laboratory analyses, textural measurements, and sensory analyses are included in our services. Additionally, our services are complemented by extraction equipment in cooperation with LUT University.

Whether your issue is small or large, feel free to contact us: we will definitely find a solution!

Showroom, which is a part of the Food Pilot Plant, can be rented out for meetings, product presentations, and customer events. Booking inquiries from Tiina Potinkara: tiina [dot] potinkaraatlab [dot] fi (tiina[dot]potinkara[at]lab[dot]fi) / 050 479 7031
