Objective
The training gives tools to understand cultural differences and gives advice in how international employees can be helped in culturally sensitive manner in their orientation to work and new life in Finland and how challenging situations can be dealt with in the work community.
Target group
The training suits all companies with multicultural staff members.

Lecturer
Jaana Häkli, Senior Lecturer
Jaana has 23 years of work experience in teaching intercultural communication and competence and diversity management at LAB University of Applied Sciences especially for international groups. She participates in RDI projects related to global education and diversity and has also the qualification of a study counsellor.

Derek Mitchell, Senior Lecturer
Derek has worked and lived in countries such as Australia, Nepal and India among others and is an experienced trainer in intercultural competence as well as in teaching English.
