The student selection

All applicants who are open UAS path students at LAB University of Applied Sciences and fulfill the requirements mentioned above will be accepted under the following conditions:

  • To be accepted to study, the applicant must apply to the programme in which they have completed or will complete the open UAS studies. The studies must have been completed within the four preceding semesters.

In addition to these applicants, other applicants can also be accepted to study if there are places left in the degree programme in question. If there are more applicants than there are places, students will be chosen based on academic success, completed studies, and the studies’ relevance to the degree programme.

The admission decision is conditional if the required amount of open path credits has not been completed when the admission period ends. The credits must be completed and registered by 31 July in the spring application and by 31 December in the autumn application.

If this requirement is not met, the place in the programme will be canceled.

Students with an active study right at any higher education institution cannot be accepted via separate application

Applicants from non-EU/EEA countries

If you are admitted as a degree student after completing path studies, the tuition fee for students from the non-EU/EEA countries per academic year is 8000 € for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes and 9000 € for Master’s Degree Programmes. Because of your path studies you are entitled to have 20% discount of your first year tuition fee.

For your first year as a degree student no scholarships are available.

A student must complete 60 credits (in bachelor's degree) or 20 credits (in master's degree) per academic year to be eligible for the 50% scholarship for your second year as a degree student. This policy will be applied until the end of the study time after the first year as a degree student. The credits completed during your path studies will not be considered.
