Tunne Työ – Know Work 2.0 –project
The aim of this project is to develop procedures and structures in the general upper secondary school education to
support the execution of the Act on General Upper Secondary education and the new Upper Secondary Curriculum
(LOPS2021) and meeting the set goals with a work-life oriented aspect. The reforms demands new policy, pedagogy
and changes in working processes from the organisers of the education, school administrators and teaching staff.
According to the reformed General Upper Secondary Schools Act, the aim of the general upper secondary school
education is to develop and provide the students’ with skills in postgraduate studies, work-life, entrepreneurship,
society and internationalisation. The projects supports the development of the skills stated before as well as the
execution of the new Upper Secondary Curriculum and building of work-life based policies.
The administration and teaching personnel’s expertise in work-life co-operation will be strengthened with seminars,
courses and training. The purpose of the project is to support the administration with various actions in succeeding to develop the upper secondary school to meet the demands of the society. The joint training will help principals and
teaching staff to be active agents in the execution of long-term work-life co-operation as part of the new Upper
Secondary Curriculum. By establishing themselves in work-life, the teaching and guidance staff develops new work-life oriented mandatory courses and modules that meet the requirements of the new Upper Secondary Curriculum. The courses and modules are developed in co-operation with students, work-life, third sector, other educational institutions and higher education schools.
