The renewal of business life and the promotion of the green transition are key development needs in the Imatra region. Strengthening the expertise of the area’s strong industrial base, particularly in process industry, is essential for a sustainable economy. Anticipating future competence needs is successful through close dialogue between companies and educational institutions. In the evolving industrial sector, the ability to master broader skill sets is becoming increasingly important. The TEOSI project aims to identify the competence needs of the process industry, especially in laboratory environments, and to create a functional educational model based on these needs in cooperation between secondary education and higher education.
