Salpausselkä Unesco Global Geopark -Roadmap to sustainable tourism

This project will advance and create a roadmap towards sustainable travel by multi-step strategic process in collaboration with local entrepreneurs. The goal of the project is to offer entrepreneurs tools to enhance their services and making them more visible in sales and marketing.

In addition to the roadmap this project advances the area's sustainable tourism strategy and collaboration with Visit Finland's STF program.

As a result of this project the strategic development plan will identify the starting point, goals and actions to profile the destination as a more sustainable travel destination by 2030. The actions will also guide entrepreneurs to the STF program and increase chances to get STF status for the destination. Entrepreneurs' dedication to responsible actions increases their competitive advantages and improves the destination image in internationally.
