RoboCamp

The aim of the project is to improve the competitiveness of companies in the South Karelia region by finding new

innovative ways to apply robotics and software robotics together with companies and educational institutions.



The project will create a joint regional network and multidisciplinary testing and innovation environment of for

companies and educational institutions to develop robotic exploitation skills in the project. Matchmaking activities of the project promote employment opportunities for people from different social and cultural backgrounds. Marketing and communications activities create a positive image of robotics in male-dominated industrial sector and of software robotics in female-dominated administration sector for both men and women.



The project will result in a joint RoboCamp development platform, an experimental environment and network for

companies and educational institutions to increase multi-disciplinary utilization of robotics and to promote the

competitiveness of companies. Increased robotics and software robotics expertise improves the way companies work, operate and use resources promoting sustainable development of local economic structure. In addition to multi-level expertise, the project results in service concepts for companies to provide continuous new exploitation skills in robotics and software robotics.



The project is a joint project of Sampo Vocational College, LAB University of Applied Sciences, Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology, South Karelia Summer University and Imatra Regional Development Company.
