Hyvinvoinnin tilat

The Spaces of Wellbeing -project utilizes the operating model of Lapinlahden Lähde (www.lapinlahdenlahde.fi). Model was developed during years 2014-2016 to harness empty spaces for the use of well-being. It encourages to seize things that reduce the disadvantages both individually and collectively.

The goals are

1.The Hyvinvoinnin tilat (eng. The Spaces of Wellbeing) -operating model developed during the project is adapted in

different parts of Finland.

2.There is a network of The Rooms of Well-being which as a result of the members, strengthens the well-being of

people experiencing disadvantages.

3.The network is growing, knowledge-based, active and attractive forum for those who want to develop empty spaces to help forward participation and well-being of people.

4.The network has international contacts with organizations that work in similar way in other countries.

5.People who are experiencing disadvantages or are marginalized will have better access to seek help for their

difficulties in different areas in Finland.

The project develops four Spaces of Wellbeing

1.Annalan huvila (Responsible organization The Association of Useful Plants)

Annalan huvila offers opportunities for participation in volunteering, work experiments and trainees for individuals

experiencing disadvantage. Tasks are assigned for every participant for their needs. Tasks are related to planning,

organizing and participating in events, gardening, maintenance, repairs and café workshops.



2.Seinäjoen kansalaiskampus (Responsible organization The Seinäjoki Adult Education Centre)

The renovation of the old Seinäjoki hospital and the notable culture history of the surroundings creates a framework for combining the effects for wellbeing of the environment and actions b. bringing the real potential of the area into a source of prosperity for the mind.



3.Lapinjärven perinnetalkoot (Responsible organization the municipality of Lapinjärvi)

Opening up the second floor of Lapinjärvi Library for work, plans, dreaming workshops and traditional construction

courses. It provides opportunities for participation through the volunteering program and work experiments to the most vulnerable.



4.Arjen olohuone Sammonlahti (Responsible organization LAB University of Applied Sciences)

Creating the Arjen olohuone Sammonlahti for multi-professional, proactive, customer and work-based learning

environment in co-operation with Eksote and a regional network of operators.
