Kuva
ESSI project aims to develop new intelligent solutions for accessibility in sustainable living. The project's target group is the Päijät-Häme region manufacturing and ICT industry.
LAB University of Applied Sciences has recognized the hidden potential of housing solutions. This potential could be utilized with modern technology that will support the needs of the end-users. The project will provide new intelligent solutions for accessibility when the needs and hopes of end users are heard and new technology will be utilized. Co-creation methods will be used, and the workshops will focus on doors. Doors are one of the key elements between indoors and outdoors and accessibility.
Co-creation needs various companies for different fields, for example, companies that provide services and products, design companies and end users. Different points of view will enable the innovation of new solutions and knowledge of end users' needs. The novelty value that the project provides is to test and analyze the potential of intelligent technology from the end user’s point of view. For example, the Internet of Things (IoT) enables interaction between objects and will support actions, accessibility and freedom of mobility.
