Equal Well-Being
Developing Equality and Equity Competence in Wellbeing Services Counties through the Kohtaamisen taito Project
The Kohtaamisen taito project aims to strengthen the ability of social and healthcare professionals to meet young people belonging to gender and sexual minorities with respect and equality.
We offer training and coaching based on up-to-date knowledge, gender-sensitive methods, and the lived experiences of youth. Young people's experiences are central to the design of the trainings. They participate as co-developers, share their experiential knowledge, and help create content for educational materials.
We support wellbeing services counties in developing concrete and effective equality and non-discrimination plans. We also build a clear operational model that helps put these plans into practice.
The project is implemented nationally in collaboration with three universities of applied sciences and two wellbeing services counties.
