Our Wood Technology Laboratory offers comprehensive testing and development services that support innovation and quality assurance, particularly for the wood and furniture industries. Our services include heat treatment and drying services, the utilization of recycled materials, environmental and condition testing, and the production of plywood and particleboard.

In our accredited furniture testing laboratory, we conduct product and surface tests that help ensure the durability and safety of furniture and surface materials. We also provide expert services for product development, improving the energy efficiency of a company or process, and developing personnel competence.

The laboratory also serves daily as a learning environment for engineering and design students. LAB is the only higher education institution in Finland offering a degree program in wood technology engineering.
