The Finnish social and healthcare system and services are in the middle of a nationwide reform estimated to take
place in 2020. In practice, it will change a number of social and healthcare services now organized and provided by
public authorities and municipalities. The reform has a remarkable impact to the customers’ freedom of choice and the SMEs in social and healthcare. It is not only an extensive opportunity to enlarge business but also a challenge to both small private companies and actors in the third sector.
The main aim and target of the project is to support SMEs in the new operational environment. The project anticipates, develops and improves their business skills and understanding providing SMEs with coaching and interactive cooperation. They will learn how to create, manage, operate and succeed in business networks. The project strengthens SMEs’ capability to produce new innovative and competitive, customer-oriented services and respond to the customers’ needs and demands.
