Risk management is the main issue in all successful operations in social- and healthcare services safety systems and practice systems. The main aim of the Safety management in Social and Healthcare Business project is to support Social and Healthcare SME’s and public organizations all personnel in developing their skills and knowhow in safety management, risk management and security issues in the fields of their operational work environment during the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.

Covid-19 outbreaks can have several effects within the workplace for both social- and healthcare service personnel and customers. The project provides participants latest knowledge, informative advises and training in order to improve and strengthen their daily capability to work keeping themselves, customers as well as their working environment safe during the COVID -19 pandemic.

An infectious disease preparedness and response plan can be used to guide protective actions. Plans address the levels of risk associated with various worksites and job tasks, including sources of exposure, risk factors arising from home and community settings, and risk factors of individual workers such as old age or chronic medical conditions. They also outline controls necessary to address those risks, and contingency plans for situations that may arise as a result of outbreaks. Infectious disease preparedness and response plans may be subject to national or subnational recommendations.
