The path of digital job training

The path of digital job training

The development project promotes the functional ability, inclusion and equality of persons in the weakest labor market position in educational and working life paths. The project's actions are aimed at clients of disability services under the age of 65 who are out of work, who need strong support and alternative ways when moving towards working life or a new job. The project aims to open up new options for those who would not be able to participate in working life without the project's actions. The project is implemented in Päijät-Häme and is targeted especially at customers of disability services under the age of 65. All materials produced in the project will be distributed nationwide for use by all welfare areas operating in Finland with the active communication support of the Finnish Association for Developmental Disabilities, its partner and the members of the steering group.

The goals of the project are:

1. Develop the digital job training path for disabled people in a flexible and customer-oriented manner according to individual needs.

2. Promote the accessibility and equality of employment services for disabled persons.

3. Diversify the service package of job training so that it serves the customer at different stages of the process.

4. Digital job training material will be usable and accessible for disabled people nationwide.

In the first phase of the project, multi-channel digital background material will be developed and produced to support job training. In the second phase, a digital job training path will be built. The result is a digital job training path that is customer-oriented and takes into account individual needs, primarily for customers of disability services under the age of 65. The job training path can also be widely used by other disabled people and customers who need special support nationwide. The developed digital job training path supports disabled people taking responsibility for their own employment process and has increased working life skills and digital skills.
