NANO IRON - University-company cooperation and business from a new method of remediation of contaminated sites

The purpose of the NANORAUTA project is to promote clean-up of contaminated sites, to develop the remediation business and to facilitate remediation management practices. In the NANORAUTA project, the University of Helsinki Lahti Unit, Lahti Regional Development LADEC Ltd and LAB University of Applied Science intensify the expertise center of the contaminated site cleaning sector, which consists of universities, companies and public authorities in Päijät-Häme, and bring international expertise to the area. The objectives, measures and results of the NANORAUTA project support Päijät-Häme regional program and strategy (2018-2021), and also contribute to the goals of economic, ecological and social sustainability and equality in Päijät-Häme region.
