GO GREEN: Resilient Optimal Urban natural, Technological and Environmental Solutions
GOGREEN ROUTES will position European cities as world ambassadors in the synergy of nature-based solutions (NBS), nature-based interventions and digital innovations, and nature-based enterprises. A distinctive multi-component solution to maintain and upscale urban sustainability and to improve both human and environmental health is outlined. We co-implement urban green routes (e.g. green corridors) serving as interactive, multi-functional public spaces interconnected with existing public spaces to solve environmental problems with benefits for health, mental health and psychological well-being.
GOGREEN ROUTES has five key strengths:
(1) a focus on multi-generational sustainable physical activity
(2) a shift towards benefits to mental health and psychological well-being
(3) expertise in developing novel indicators and assessment tools
(4) cutting-edge digital innovation and
(5) an experienced consortium in demonstrating effective NBS with a capacity for clustering activities.
Our goal is to build a positive human-nature relationship and foster nature connectedness through digital, educational and behavioural innovation in order to increase NBS uptake and acceptability.
