FooRDI Food RDI cooperation pilots
The FooRDI project is developing a multidisciplinary research, development and innovation (RDI) service platform for food companies and other food chain actors. The aim is to combine LAB University of Applied Sciences' strong expertise in technology, business, design and wellbeing and to offer the food chain comprehensive support for development and renewal.
The project is building a service platform operating on the "one-stop" principle, which brings together LAB's multidisciplinary RDI services into an easily accessible whole. The platform supports companies in, among other things, product development, business development, customer-oriented design, promoting wellbeing and sustainable development solutions.
During the project, practical service pilots will be carried out in cooperation with food companies. These pilots will test and develop the RDI services offered by LAB in authentic business and development environments. Pilots can include, for example:
- development of new products or packaging solutions
- development production processes through technology
- renewal of business models
- strengthening customer understanding and user orientation through design
- development of food solutions that support well-being
Pilots offer companies concrete benefits and at the same time help LAB develop a service platform to better meet the needs of the food chain.
The FooRDI project strengthens LAB's internal cooperation between different units and intensifies regional networking with food chain actors, other RDI service providers and stakeholders. The goal is to establish the service platform built during the project as part of LAB's permanent operations and multidisciplinary cooperation.
