Finnish Design Academy - Muotoilualan korkeakoulutuksen kehittäminen tulevaisuuden työelämän osaamistarpeita varten
Changes in field of design challenge us to reform design education. The aim of Finnish Design Academy is to develop design education in Finland diversely and strengthen the role of design in national innovation ecosystem. This project is accomplished in collaboration with all eight design schools in Finland and Ornamo.
The project is divided into several parts and smaller objectives. One is to profiling Finnish design education in response to new needs in designers’ competencies. Second, more concrete, objective is to create shared education contents, practices for working life co-operation and research & innovation activities. Also boosting international collaboration in design studies is one of the goals.
As a result, a new Finnish Design Academy (FDA) co-operational model and digital platform will be created.
