Welcome to the 5th Smart Cities in Smart Regions Conference, hosted by LAB University of Applied Sciences and the City of Lahti, on September 23-24, 2026!

The conference takes place on the Lahti campus and brings together researchers, industry, and public sector actors to explore innovative solutions for sustainable urban and regional development.
The themes of the conference are:
- Climate-Smart and Circular Economy
- Well-being in Smart Cities and Regions
- Smart Value Creation
The call for abstracts, practical case examples, and workshops opens soon. Scientific and applied research abstracts can be extended into full papers (publication type A). Do come to present your research or development projects or host a workshop to share your ideas!
