LUT Universities condemn conduct reflecting extremist thinking

LUT University and the LAB University of Applied Sciences unequivocally condemn racism, hate speech, and all conduct that violates human dignity, is discriminatory, or reflects extremist ideology.
The racist conduct of the individual student group reported in the news does not represent the values of LUT University or the student union LTKY. These were private, unsanctioned actions of a single student group, not organised or endorsed by the university or the student union. The group is not granted funding, facilities, or any other support.
We do not condone hate speech or discriminatory behaviour of any kind in our community. Attire featuring insignia of extremist movements is strictly prohibited in university and student union spaces and events.
