Our key research interests include the dimensions of diversity and diversity management, the inclusion and status of vulnerable groups in work and society, and organisational equality and accessibility.
In addition to research, members of the research group work in teaching and mentoring positions and in other demanding RDI activities. The group has strong expertise in both national and international joint development. The group's expertise can also be used in a wide range of commissioned research.

Marjut Louhelainen
Senior lecturer, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (M.Sc.), Engineer (B.Eng.), Professional Teacher (AmO), Member of the Nursing Research Foundation's Nursing Recommendations Working Group. Leads the research team. Special research interest in diversity and its management as a phenomenon.

Emilia Laapio-Rapi
Principal lecturer, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Science in Health Sciences (MSc in Nursing education), Registered nurse, works as a coordinator of the Modern Leadership master’s programme and teaches in the programme. In addition, she is the Academic Director of the Management of Wellbeing Services programme at LUT University. Her particular research interests include diversity and organisational performance.
Tuija Rinkinen
Senior Lecturer, PhD (Health Sciences), MSc (Public Health), RN. Teaches in the Master’s degree program of Digital Expert of Social and Health Care Services. A particular area of research interest is digitalization of social and health care and customer participation in digitized social and health care services.
Helena Hatakka
Works as a principal lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Health Care in LAB UAS. Ms Hatakka has a Lic.Ed. Her studies are related especially to social services higher education learning environments. Experience in social services higher education pedagogy and in RDI-projects related to promoting inclusion and participation in the field of social services.
Sini Hämäläinen
Senior Lecturer in Faculty of Social and Health Care, Master of Health Care (MHC, Advanced practice nursing), Professional teacher (AmO), Doctoral researcher (LUT). Areas of special expertise are developing international nursing education and guiding and teaching nursing students, diversity and its management in working life, advanced practice nursing.
Anne Suikkanen
Lecturer, Doctoral student, Master of Health Sciences (MSc), Nursing Teacher Training, Vocational Training Supervisor. Special areas of expertise include the functioning of expert organisations, knowledge management and the development of multidisciplinary cooperation. Research interests in the different dimensions of internationalising working life.
Leena Ikonen
RDI expert, Master of Arts (Education), Teacher pedagogical qualification, Doctoral researcher (JYU). Areas of special expertise multidisciplinary RDI activities and their development, funding channels (EU) and coordination of the preparation of funding applications.
Mari Mynttinen
Research lecturer, Doctor of Health Sciences (PhD, Nursing), Nurse. Special expertise in health promotion and ethical issues for children, adolescents and families. Research and project work, thesis supervision. Member of the expert working group of the Nursing Research Foundation and the Youth Research Society.

Tarja Korpela
Senior lecturer, Service Design in Welfare, coordinator of the YAMK education. Qualifications: HTT (Management Science), Amo, Specialist qualification in Management. Her interests include service experience research, people-centred development of welfare services and the use of service design in development.
