Textiles into Circulation 2.0
Textiles into Circulation 2.0 is a follow-up project to Textiles into Circulation in Päijät-Häme -project, in which an operating model for separate collection of end-of-life textiles was created. The project is carried out by LAB University of Applied Sciences, Salpakierto and Harjulan Setlementti and is co-funded by The Regional Council of Päijät-Häme (ERDF).
The project pilots the operating model for separate collection of end-of-life textiles and studies the quality and composition of the collected textiles. Based on the studies, it is possible to start to consider ways to improve the recycling rate and utilization of the material that do not belong to the collection. The project aims to develop circular economy business model through material recycling in Päijät-Häme.
