mAInIO – The potential of generative AI as a business enhancer/enabler

Not all companies are aware of the revolutionary accessibility of AI that is underway, nor do they have the know-how to exploit it in business. The rapid ability of generative AI applications to produce and manipulate text, video, images, audio and even programming code will dramatically change many industries. AI offers significant opportunities to improve the efficiency of activities such as ideation and content creation, but both its deployment and the growth of existing skills require more knowledge and practical experience of it.



The main objective of the project is to increase and strengthen the knowledge of South Karelia's business community in the use of generative artificial intelligence. The objectives include ensuring that employees of SMEs understand the benefits of generative AI and know how to use it, thus improving their work efficiency and renewing the SME's business. It will also create a network of SME employees, LAB experts and other interested parties to share practices in the use of generative AI.



The project will map generative AI solutions suitable for SMEs, analysing their strengths, weaknesses and potential applications. These will be published in a series of publications that will examine different solutions for business transformation in SMEs.The project will organise public events on generative AI and its use, open to all.



The result of the project is to strengthen the overall understanding of the possibilities of generative AI in South Karelia's business community. The project has helped employees of SMEs to understand and exploit the potential of generative AI, which has enabled more efficient and renewed competitive business. During the project, publications on generative AI have been produced for social media and LAB's publishing channels, raising awareness of the AI and its potential for business use.
