The main goal of the project is to transfer knowledge and know-how about energy efficiency and the possibilities of using renewable energy to Häme's rural social security and service companies and service-producing associations. The goal of the project is to promote and encourage energy-efficient operating models that contribute to increasing rural vitality and the competitiveness of small and micro-enterprises operating in rural areas. The project focuses especially on small and micro-enterprises operating in rural areas.



The goals of the low-carbon solution project for rural service companies are:

1. Collect and pass on information about the possibilities of improving the energy efficiency of small and micro enterprises in Häme's rural social security and service sector. Maps opportunities for energy efficiency and the use of renewable and low-carbon energy.

2. To increase the energy efficiency know-how and awareness of the possibilities of renewable energy among small and micro-enterprises operating in Häme's countryside through information sessions and workshops.

3. Produce and disseminate information on the profitability of renewable energy investments or other energy efficiency investments from the perspective of small and micro-enterprises, and create shareable information on the connection between energy investments and improving business profitability.

4. Put together a separately financed and applied for business group project, for which proposals and calculations for the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy investments are prepared for the companies in the business group project.

5. Build an evaluation tool for energy efficiency investments for companies. Based on the information entered into the tool, it is possible to assess what kind of renewable energy investments or other energy efficiency investments the company should implement. The tool also takes into account the different operating hours of companies.

6. To evaluate the impact of energy-efficient measures on the energy efficiency of small and micro-enterprises in the rural health and service sector.
