EUwood network, European wood construction innovation ecosystem

The Wood Construction Innovation Ecosystem, or more succinctly the EU Wood Network, is a two-year international project implemented as part of the City of Lahti's ecosystem agreement and the Innovative Cities Program.

The main objectives are:

1. To establish collaboration between the Lahti region, European higher education institutions, and local businesses operating in the area.

2. To implement solutions for building information modeling (BIM) and the transfer of building product data within the construction value chains using wood based materials and components.

3. To develop a European operational model for higher education - student - business collaboration, serving as a multidimensional learning environment and a platform for research, development, and innovation (RDI).
