Electric Mobility Digital Twin
The Electric Mobility Digital Twin project aims to create a modular and scalable digital twin
platform architecture that supports the comprehensive development of electric mobility. The
project will serve a wide range of stakeholders and user groups. The digital twin architecture
to be developed in the project will be designed to enable operators to develop and analyse
products and services on the platform in multi-layered interfaces. It will provide a unique
opportunity to combine digital twin modelling and business network analysis. This will enable
the evaluation of the impact of electric mobility innovations and foster collaboration between
research and business.
In the platform definition phase, the necessary features and functions of the platform and the
use cases enabled by the platform will be identified and mapped together with the project
partners, Electric Mobility Rereach Center - EMRC, the actors in the region, especially the
members of the Lahti GEM – Green Electrification of Mobility Cluster, and other relevant actors.
The architecture design will focus on both technical and business interfaces between real
modules and digital twins, and data management. The project will implement a pilot of a digital
twin as part of a large modular system.
The co-development RDI platform will be designed to meet the development needs of electric
mobility. The RDI platform will aim to promote the green transition and sustainable development
through the electric mobility digital twin platform. The digital twin pilot implemented during the
project at the Electric Mobility Showroom will serve as a concrete example of the business
potential of the RDI platform. The RDI platform will enable the demonstration of electric mobility
as part of sustainable development for businesses, educational and research institutions and the
public sector.
