The urban culture and diverse range of services of a big city, and the home-like atmosphere, short distances and closeness to nature of a small town get combined in the city of Lahti. The compact city center in Lahti is framed with a spectacular view, and the whole magnificence can be admired even from the top of the jumping-hills. A townie finds his favorite place in our city often, for example, from the country skiing tracks of the Salpausselkä ridges, from the foothills of the Radio Towers or from the shores of the Lake Vesijärvi.

Housing and living in Lahti are ideally suited to student budgets, and rental homes are also easy to find. In the vicinity of our new campus, more student housing is under construction and the area is growing into a real center of student life. Warning! Life at the 24/7 open campus can turn out to be so much fun, that you do not want to leave the area at all, although you can easily reach the city center.
