Sustainable Design Studio x MUOKS -exhibition
Urban Regenerativity
In the Sustainable Design Studio, students have reimagined urban greenery – bringing it to the hard surfaces and tight spaces where it’s most needed. The concepts presented in this exhibition are the result of a collaboration between the Studio and the MUOKS project, which explores innovative materials and design methods to create new solutions for urban green infrastructure.
In the exhibition
Moss Concrete Dividers – structures that organize and protect urban space while also purifying the air and introducing living greenery to city streets.
Stormwater Stones – stone designs that allow rainwater to absorb directly into the ground, reducing flood risk and urban drought. Stones also support the growth of natural vegetation in dense urban areas.
MUOKS is a project in LAB Institute of Design and Fine Arts. The project aims to develop new solutions for urban landscape using design methods and organic fibres that can replace plastic. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
