LAB's role
How would it feel to live in a city that breathes in sync with nature? The Living City exhibition explores urban regenerativity – a way of thinking that not only reduces the environmental impact of urban spaces, but also actively seeks to create opportunities for nature to renew itself.
The works on display utilize vegetation and recycled textile and wool fiber materials. They connect nature and the human-made environment – they are ideas for a more vibrant, sustainable future.
The exhibition is part of the MUOKS project at LAB University of Applied Sciences, which explores how design can be used to promote regenerative growth in cities. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
Regenerativity refers to an approach inspired by the cycles of nature. The aim is not only to prevent negative environmental impacts, but also to create solutions that renew nature and strengthen its ecosystems.
