The Alumni Forest Event returns this May

You are warmly invited to plant your own tree seedling in honor of your degree – whether you graduated recently or many years ago. The date  and registration information for this spring is available in this page. 

The Alumni Forest Event, designed by our hospitality management students, was held for the third time

As a climate action and a celebration of graduation, LAB donates a dedicated seedling to each graduate. This student-led tree‑planting event takes place every May. The idea is to leave a meaningful, rooted mark on the future and to celebrate the work put into completing your studies. In 2025, the event was organized for the third time – and the forest continues to grow and resonate.

In previous years, we’ve heard inspiring speeches from our rectors as well as greetings from student organizations. True to the spirit of the forest event, the day continues on campus with relaxed after‑activities, including outdoor games and a barbecue. LAB provides transportation to the event and the after‑party.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last spring. We hope to see you next time – come celebrate fresh degrees and new beginnings in the springtime Lehmus Forest, and bring a friend along!
