The Alumni Forest Event returns this May

The Alumni Forest Event, designed by our hospitality management students, was held for the third time
As a climate action and a celebration of graduation, LAB donates a dedicated seedling to each graduate. This student-led tree‑planting event takes place every May. The idea is to leave a meaningful, rooted mark on the future and to celebrate the work put into completing your studies. In 2025, the event was organized for the third time – and the forest continues to grow and resonate.
In previous years, we’ve heard inspiring speeches from our rectors as well as greetings from student organizations. True to the spirit of the forest event, the day continues on campus with relaxed after‑activities, including outdoor games and a barbecue. LAB provides transportation to the event and the after‑party.
In the spring 2026 implementation, the campus after-party will gain some extra flavor in the form of an alumni sitz party. Greetings from the organizers:
After the forest event, it’s time to return to student days and relive the best moments of student life one more time! The alumni sitz will be held on campus as the official afterparty of the forest event.
The evening brings together alumni and current students around the same table for a relaxed get-together filled with networking, hot dogs, and good conversation in great company. During the night, you can challenge students and teachers alike to a legendary game of beer pong, while the DJ keeps the energy high throughout the evening with an engaging musical selection. From time to time, traditional sitz-style communal singing will also be heard. For those who wish, the evening can be continued later at restaurant Armas.
We hope to see you too – come celebrate fresh degrees and new beginnings in the springtime Lehmus Forest and campus afterparty, and bring a friend along!
