Takes place in project

The project strengthens the capacity of forest owners, forestry professionals, and wood and forest industry companies to respond to the impacts of climate change through practical, hands-on measures. During the project, forest walks, forestry events, workshops, and fertilization demonstrations will be organized, providing participants with concrete knowledge on increasing forest growth, enhancing carbon sinks, and implementing sustainable forest management practices.

The project also develops new approaches to communicating climate change adaptation by combining research-based knowledge, practical examples, and art-based methods. These activities include art installations incorporated into forest walks, an educational art trail, artworks and exhibitions, as well as a variety of communication materials.

In addition, the project brings together forest owners, businesses, municipalities, and other stakeholders to network, share experiences, and build a common understanding of future forest management. The objective is to increase knowledge and expertise, strengthen collaboration, and promote practical solutions that support forest growth, carbon sequestration, biodiversity, and the adaptive capacity of the forest sector in a changing climate.

Project events

The project will organize a series of forest walks in collaboration with the Forest Management Association (MHY). These events provide participants with an opportunity to learn about climate-resilient forestry practices, forest growth enhancement, and sustainable forest management in a practical forest environment. The first scheduled forest walks are:
