ARTIST project aims to elevate public transport and active mobility through branding, design, and art. The project brings together partners from across Europe to share experiences and develop new ways to make sustainable mobility more attractive and engaging. By working with local communities, grassroots organizations, artists, and other stakeholders, the ARTIST project explores how art and design can enhance commuter experiences, encourage the use of public transport, and strengthen community identity. The project also supports the exchange of good practices and the development of policies that encourage the wider use of public transport and active mobility, such as walking and cycling.

The project is implemented through the cooperation of six European partners.
The lead partner is the Municipality of Arta (Greece), working together with the following partners: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), Vas County Government Office (Hungary), Regional Development Agency RDA South-East (Romania), LAB University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and the Innovation Center of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade (Serbia).

In addition, the project involves regional associated partners, such as the Regional Council of Päijät-Häme in Finland and the City of Kruševac in Serbia, who support the integration of project results into regional policymaking.
The total budget of the EU-funded Interreg Europe project is €1,292,750.
