Silver to Platinum (Turning Silver Experience into Platinum Impact: Communication Skills for Career Empowerment) is a cross-border cooperation project between Finland, Latvia, and Estonia that supports adults aged 55+ in strengthening their communication skills, confidence, and employability. Through a multilingual hybrid training programme, participants develop practical communication, digital, and intercultural competences that help them remain active in the labour market or return to employment.

Partners: Daugavpils University (Latvia), LAB University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and the Association of Municipalities of Tartu County (Estonia).

The project aims to improve the labour market competitiveness of adults aged 55+ by enhancing their communication and collaboration skills in modern working environments. The project seeks to:

- strengthen verbal, digital, intercultural, and interpersonal communication skills;

- increase confidence and career readiness among older adults;

- promote lifelong learning and active ageing;

- support cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange between participating countries.
The Silver to Platinum project delivers a three-month hybrid training programme called Communication Skills for Career Empowerment. The programme combines live online sessions, self-paced digital learning, mentoring, practical assignments, and international bootcamps.

Participants work with trainers and mentors to develop practical skills that respond to current labour market needs. Through cross-border collaboration and real-life learning experiences, the project creates lasting opportunities for older adults to remain active, adaptable, and competitive in work life.
The project will engage 135 participants from Finland, Latvia, and Estonia in a joint communication training programme aimed at improving their employability and labour market competitiveness.

Key outcomes include:

- a hybrid communication training programme with learning materials available beyond the project lifetime;

- at least 108 participants with enhanced communication and digital skills, improved confidence in professional and multicultural environments, a personal portfolio and certificate supporting future employment opportunities.
