Digital Transformation in Health and Safety

The promotion of sustainable well-being requires innovative solutions for well-being, health and safety. Digital transformation offers opportunities for new human-oriented operating models, where ethical aspects are also considered.
Lappeenranta campus.

The research group provides cross-disciplinary peer-reviewed research data for the development and application of smart, predictive and scalable digital solutions that promote well-being, health and safety in an ethically sustainable and human-oriented way.

Research information is used to develop new expertise and innovations in partnerships with companies, the public sector, other social actors and research institutes. Key research perspectives include knowledge of data and technology, data-driven management, ethical sustainability, innovation value chains, development of digital services and digital encounters, client and patient safety, and anticipation and preparedness.

Special expertise in medical imaging and technology, neurophysiology, radiation and equipment safety, digital service development, as well as information systems, processes, management and regulation in healthcare.
