"This list can go on for pages but let’s keep it short. So, these are my top 5 reasons to study in Finland", Yan says.
Studying abroad is a significant decision, and careful consideration of the destination is essential. But why should you consider studying in Finland? What makes Finland the best place to study in the world? And what is so unique and distinct about Finland that it should be regarded as a great place to live? Let's find out!

Yan Chowdhury, a BBA degree student in the International Business programme, shares his perspective on the facets that make studying in Finland a truly unique experience. Through his lens, let's explore a list of five reasons that capture the core of his educational journey in Finland and at LAB University of Applied Sciences:

1. Unique weather and scenery
Let’s start with the Finnish weather first. The weather is completely different from my home country Bangladesh. I’m a snow lover, and this is one of the main reasons that I moved to Finland. The white snow in the winter and the Aurora in the sky makes Finland one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

2. Rich cultural experience
It has been almost a year since I moved to the land of Moomins. The people, the culture, the ambiance of this place is really something else. There is an ice-breaking period with the Finns at first, but once that has been out of the way, the friendships and relations with them are the ones for a lifetime.

3. High-quality education
Finland is known for its high quality of education. As an International Business student at LAB University of Applied Sciences, I can truly validate that. The student community is strong, and the culture of wearing overalls adds up as another reason why I chose to study in Finland.

4. Innovative teaching methods
Speaking of the high quality of education in Finland. It's because the teaching system here is something quite different from the conventional study system around the globe. Here at LAB learning through practical implementations is the main mode of learning. Which makes learning much more frictionless and fun.

5. Affordable education and living
Compared to many other Western European countries, Finland offers relatively affordable education and living costs for international students. Additionally, there are various scholarships and grants available for eligible students, making it more financially feasible to study in Finland.
