High Force Density Linear Motors for High Loads
There is a growing demand for sustainable, efficient, and low-maintenance alternatives to traditional hydraulic and geared machinery used in heavy-load applications. Current electric actuators are often limited in force capacity, relying on complex mechanical conversions from rotating motors. This project addresses the R&D need for high thrust density, direct-driven linear actuators capable of replacing hydraulic systems in applications such as mining machines, cranes, and large marine vessels. These actuators promise cleaner automation, reduced maintenance, and improved sustainability, enabling greener industrial solutions.
