Lahti UAS in collaboration with LUT University and Saimaa UAS develops and pilots a multidiciplinary business accelerator program to boost regional growth. The accelerator program will be located in Lahti UAS and the aim is to utilize local universities' research, development and innovation activities on business ideas of companies, start-ups and nascent entrepreneurs in the Lahti region. New ways of productizing and commercializing of ideas evolved from RDI-operations and theses will be created. The program will offer high-quality information and guidance services.
The project will especially focus on student-entrepreneurship activities in collaboration with LAMK Entrepreneurship Society LAMKES. LAMK Startup Accelerator -project highlights particularly digital business opportunities, recognition and exploiting of potential for commercialization, business networking, versatile financing opportunities and international business.
New enterprises and businesses, readiness for global market, regional attractiveness and job opportunities will be created as results.
