Welcome to the EDUCRO Summer Camp 2022!
Explore an exceptional opportunity to combine high-quality learning with an unforgettable summer experience in the most popular summer city in Finland. The overall theme of the Summer Camp is “Sustainable value and business creation in the culture and tourism sectors: current trends”. During the Summer Camp, you will learn about current and future trends from high profile experts and equip yourself with new competences and skills to face common challenges and innovate.
Enrollment and costs
The deadline for application is 15.05.2022. Students from LAB register via Peppi. The participation in Summer camp including accommodation, transport costs and social programme is free of charge for LAB students.

- intangible value creation from an ethical and sustainable point of view
- recent development trends, barriers and opportunities
2 Digitalisation, ethics & change management
- development of the digitalisation process and change management from an ethical point of view
- recent development trends, barriers and opportunities
3 Future trends and future platforms for cultural products
- meaning of forecasting trends within the cultural sector
- forecasting in product, service and process development
- past, recent and future development trends, barriers and opportunities
4 VR for culture and tourism services
- opportunities in VR for culture and tourism sectors
- case studies of the VR projects
- creating VR content: practical tasks and hands-on work
Social activities
The programme includes social activities in the evening, and this is free for the participants. Please note that the programme of the social activities is subject to change and will be confirmed after the application period is over.
- Dinner in the restaurant and city walk
- Campus sauna, swimming and grill and a nature walk
- Cruise to Saimaa canal and Lake Saimaa
- Excursion to the city centre and visiting the cultural spaces in Lappeenranta
The grading of the course is based on attendance and group assignments during the week.
The Summer Camp is a part of the EDUCRO projects activities. The EDUCRO project is funded by the South-East Finland – Russia CBC 2014-2020 Programme.
5 places for students coming from other cities are reserved and are free of charge. The expenses related to the travel will be compensated.
